The Honors Convocation is the recognition of degree completion.

During the ceremony, degree candidates walk across the stage and receive their doctoral hoods (DDS) or pins (BSDH). Two members of the faculty are selected by each class to hood or pin the graduates. Degree candidates may also pre-select up to two individual doctoral hooders/pinners. Specific requirements for doctoral hooders/pinners will be provided to the graduates.

Tickets are required to attend Honors Convocation.

Every graduate will receive 12 guest tickets.  Tickets are required for all guests two years of age and older. Seating is open.

Accessible seating is limited at the venue. Guests need to contact Helen Dagilis at hdagilis@umaryland.edu or 410-706-0258 to inquire about accessible seating.
