Dr. Kuei-Ling (Christine) Hsu joined our faculty in 2012 after taking a Fellowship in our division.  Dr. Hsu completed dental school in Taiwan and after several years of general practice residency and private practice, she came to United States to complete a pediatric dental residency and master's degree at University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her research interests focus on microbes related to caries. She is currently collaborating with a few basic science faculty members to look at the possible interactions and transcriptional profiles between different bacteria species in caries progression of ECC patients.  Dr. Hsu holds Diplomate of American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and serves as a review of couple professional journals. Besides dentistry, Dr. Hsu plays classical piano music and has performed in several recitals.  Dr. Hsu and her husband also love to cook and explore new restaurants for dinning. They are always very proud to say that the best Taiwan dishes are made in their kitchen!
