Dr. Carolina Rojas, DDS

Carolina Rojas, DDSDr. Carolina Rojas is a clinical professor at Maryland University School of Dentistry and a board- certified pediatric dentist. She received her Dental degree from the Universidad de Talca, Chile in 2005 and in 2007 completed a specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile. She then pursued an additional two years of hospital-based pediatric dentistry training in University of Connecticut and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

In 2011 Dr. Rojas served as Director of Academic Affairs Academic at Universidad del Desarrollo Dental School in Concepcion, Chile for four years. She has more than 10 years’ experience working with multiple disadvantaged and underserved populations, alongside organizational and business management abilities. She has grown her private practice in Chile from scratch to a successful large group practice, introducing new experiences and treatment options not commonly available in her community. In 2021 and prior to this position Dr. Rojas moved to the US to join a two-year Fellowship program in our division.

Dr. Rojas believes that an unconditionally warm approach and positive learning environment are essential to guide the students to develop their decision-making skills. She is confident that by sharing her teaching and clinical experience the students will address and continue to improve a family centered and culture sensitive care.
