‌‌Meenakshi Chellaiah, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Oncology and Diagnostic Sciences, received a five-year, $1.6 million grant from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases of the National Institutes of Health for her project “L-plastin: a novel target for intervention in the treatment of osteoporosis.”

Man-Kyo Chung, DMD, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Neural and Pain Sciences, received a five-year, $1.9 million grant from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research for the project “Genetic and Post-Translational Modifications of TRPV1 in Craniofacial Pain.”

Ashraf Fouad, DDS, MS, chair of the Department of Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry, and endodontics resident Ali Nosrat, DDS, received a $14,452 grant from the American Association of Endodontists for the project “The effects of residual bacteria on dental pulp regeneration.”
