Jacquelyn Fried, RDH, MS, associate professor and director of interprofessional initiatives, gave a presentation entitled “HPV: how will it affect your practice?” at a meeting of the Vermont Dental Hygienists’ Association in May.

Steven Feldman, DDS ’17, presented a research poster entitled “Developing 3D-Printed Peri-Implantium to Establish Periodontal Hygiene Efficacy” at the American Dental Education Association annual meeting in Boston in March.

Gary Hack, DDS ’79, associate professor in the Department of Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry, and Eric Levine, DDS ’91, clinical assistant professor in the department, presented a research poster entitled “Exciting Use of Current Technology to Help Students Reach Their Clinical Potential” at the American Dental Education Association annual meeting in Boston in March.

Bill Hoffman, MAS, department administrator for the Department of Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry, gave a presentation entitled “Human Resources Management and Best Practices for the Department Administrator” at the Southern/Northeast Section Meeting of the Society of Research Administrator International in Charleston, S.C. in April. In addition, Hoffman and a colleague gave a presentation entitled “Strategies for Success: Managing Faculty Compensation and Funding Streams” during the meeting.

Shariq Khan, DDS ’17, gave a presentation entitled “Magnetic Nanoparticles: Improving Composite Bond Strength to Dentin” at the American Dental Education Association annual meeting in Boston in March.

Marion Manski, RDH '88, MS '04, clinical assistant professor and director of the Division of Dental Hygiene, gave a presentation about early childhood caries to the Maryland/Chesapeake chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners on May 7.

Se-Lim Oh, DMD, MS, clinical assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics, presented a research poster entitled “Gingival Augmentation around Implants during Maintenance” at the general session of the International Association for Dental Research in March. She also presented a research poster entitled “Non-chairside, Conjoint Discipline Teaching Approach of Treatment Planning” at the American Dental Education Association annual session in March.

David Seminowicz, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Neural and Pain Sciences, gave a presentation entitled “Cognitive Aspects of Acute and Chronic Pain: 10 Advances in 10 Years,” at the 10th annual National Institutes of Health Annual Pain Consortium Symposium in May.
