Clinical Assistant Professor Ramsay Koury, DMD, received a bachelor’s degree from Juniata College in 1983 and a DMD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1987. He practiced general dentistry in Harrisburg, Pa., for 25 years. A veteran of 16 short-term dental mission projects, he was inspired to teach at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry by several students he met on a mission trip to Honduras in 2010. Dr. Koury served as an instructor of operative dentistry for two years as a volunteer member of the Dean’s Faculty. He joined the Department of General Dentistry in 2013 and currently serves as general practice director.
