University of Maryland School of Dentistry (SOD) Faculty Development (FD) supports faculty in achieving their career goals. 

FD is for faculty seeking professional development and support in a variety of domains, whether within the school, on campus, or nationwide. This includes skill acquisition in teaching, research, and leadership as well as navigating the complex organizational structures in which they practice. FD also supports the annual course at the SOD retreat along with programs to foster collaboration and to develop faculty in all aspects of their academic pursuits. Resources for faculty wellness are available through EAP.  Our goal is to improve faculty members' ability to achieve success in their careers while increasing their satisfaction with their professional experience at the University of Maryland.
