Dr. Jones is a Board-certified Periodontist and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Univ. of Maryland School of Dentistry where she also received her Certificate in Periodontics. She is the new Director of Program Development for the Division of Dental Hygiene. Dr. Jones is also a Clinical Instructor in the division of Periodontics and teaches clinical and pre-clinical periodontics to 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th year dental students. Prior to teaching at UMSOD, Dr. Jones was in private practice for 18 years in Frederick, Maryland. Her research interests focus on improving pre-clinical and clinical dental education using technology and case-based learning strategies. Dr. Jones is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, serves as Treasurer of the UMSOD Faculty Assembly and is an admissions interviewer for prospective dental students.
