Speaker Biography

Dr. Arce, is a board-certified prosthodontist. He received his dental degree from the University Latina of Costa Rica. He completed a residency in Advanced Prosthodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Science in Clinical Dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. He is currently an Assistant Professor of the Restorative Department at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Practice is limited to esthetics and implants. 

Course Description

This course outlines evidence-based possibilities and provides an applicable understanding of the different digital clinical workflows in a ready-to-use format so you can hit the ground running when you return to practice. This program is geared towards any dentist, hygienist, or dental technician, regardless of previous knowledge surrounding digital technologies, interested in improving their knowledge, gaining evidence-based protocols of digital workflows from data acquisition to subtractive/ additively manufacturing devices and restorations.

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this course the participants should be able to:

  • List the steps of a comprehensive digital workflows for smile design.
  • Explain the implementation of current digital technologies used in esthetics and implants at clinical and laboratory setting.
  • Discuss current intraoral digital impression capabilities and integration with 3D printing/milling in interdisciplinary complex cases.
  • Compare current materials and their clinical indication and limitations.
