Speaker Biography

Dr Cook is a full-time faculty prosthodontist at Dalhousie University, and also practices prosthodontics part-time in Halifax, NS.  Dr. Cook is the Department Chair of Dental Clinical Sciences at Dalhousie University, and she teaches Removable, Fixed and Implant Prosthodontics.  Dr. Cook is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, team lead for the National Dental Specialty Examination in Prosthodontics, and a Board member and examiner with the National Dental Examining Board.

Course Description

This course will overview concepts in complete denture occlusion, with focus on tooth setup and adjustments for a lingualized occlusion.

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Appreciate the differences between denture occlusal schemes.
  • Understand tooth position for a lingualized occlusion
  • Understand how to adjust denture teeth in a lingualized occlusion.
